- SM-3 Block IIA: Dual-stage interceptors co-developed with a partner nation to counter regional ballistic threats.
- SM-3 Block IB: Upgraded single-stage interceptors featuring improved seekers and propulsion.
- Production ramp-up targets: Raising annual output by at least 30 percent over current levels.
- Supply chain investments: Securing key sub-tier suppliers for propellant, guidance electronics and warhead components.
Financial and Industrial Impact
While precise contract values remain classified, industry estimates place the combined program at several hundred million dollars over the next 24 months. The agreements will:
